SourceGear Vault is a cross-platform version control and work item tracking solution for small and medium-sized teams. Vault was also designed to be a replacement for Visual SourceSafe, providing new features and improved functionality along with a simple interface. It is based on a client / server architecture using services such as Microsoft SQL Server and IIS Web Services. The client connects to the Vault Standard Server and allows users to locally manage files under source control.
